Motus Consult was engaged to provide balcony restoration services for Red Haus, a large residential multi-family condominium complex in Calgary, AB.  The project addressed significant water damage to the balconies, stemming from inadequate original building enclosure design. Restoration involved the careful removal of damaged plywood, PVC, and any structurally compromised beams, and then rebuilding with new materials.

As part of the project, the team conducted a building enclosure analysis to identify the root causes of the water intrusion. They then developed a targeted solution for the balcony reconstruction, ensuring that important factors such as proper material lapses and enclosure continuity were achieved. Throughout the project, Motus Consult supervised all restoration activities to maintain high quality standards and prevent future recurrence.
